With this adherence to the Global Compact, we align our operations with the 10 Principles in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Standards, the Environment and the Fight against Corruption, and we adopt measures to support the objectives of the United Nations embodied in the 17 Goals of Sustainable Development (SDG).
Launched in 2000, the United Nations Global Compact (in Spanish, United Nations Global Compact), is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. There are currently more than 19,000 affiliated entities in more than 160 countries and it has 70 local networks.
The initiative in Spain stands out for the number of adherents, the number of progress reports or sustainability reports presented, in performance and in solutions for its partners. More than 2,100 Spanish organizations have joined the initiative, making it the Local Network with the largest number of affiliated entities and, therefore, the most important in the world and of which TEKIA is also a part.
